Job description
Overview:
Responsible for maintaining and repairing all HVAC systems including refrigeration, heating, building automation, energy management, and water treatment systems for the Chumash Enterprise. Oversees and manages a team of skilled HVAC service technicians.
Responsibilities:
Performs a full range of preventative maintenance and general operations tasks on heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment and compressed air systems.
Manage HVAC energy use with building automation programs.
Installs, repairs, and replaces pumps, valves, fans, and related equipment.
Requisitions materials and supplies as needed to maintain HVAC systems to reduce or eliminate down time.
Prepares estimates of work hours, materials, and resources required for projects.
Schedules, assigns, and inspects work of Facilities Technicians assigned to support HVAC systems.
Confers with the Director of Facilities Operations and Facility Manager regarding workloads and priorities.
Reviews Technicians work to ensure quality of work meets standards.
Provides safety and equipment training and ensures power tools are in safe operable condition.
Coordinates work of outside contractors.
Obtains bids and specifics of projects.
May prepare reports and keep records of repairs done, purchases, inventory, and the likes.
Delivers and is responsible for all trades and safety training.
Hires, trains, develops, empowers, coaches, counsels, conducts performance and salary reviews, resolves problems, provides open communication vehicles, disciplines, and recommends terminations as appropriate.
Builds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, collaboration, performance feedback/management, and Team Member satisfaction while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent work experience.
Five years of prior experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction.
Three years of prior experience in a supervisory or management role.
Solid knowledge of shop mathematics to plan, compute, and layout projects; the ability to interpret and apply building plans and blueprints; and skill in the use of tools and equipment common to the trade.
Basic computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, e-mail, and internet.
Must participate and complete requiredongoing departmental training.
Must hold a valid California driver's license and meet the insurance requirements of Chumash Enterprises.
Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
Native American hiring preference applies.

$99,961 annually
Maximum Pay Rate:
$124,951 annually
