Job Description:

Description - External

The QTAS Department is seeking a highly motivated scientist to support the development and implementation of single cell-based flow cytometric (FCM) assays that enable development of Client therapies from the bench to the clinic.

The desired candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment to develop pharmacodynamic assays that support internal decision making for preclinical studies and Ph1 clinical trials. In this laboratory role, the ideal candidate will perform hands-on assay development and will execute established assays to support candidate therapeutic modalities.

The work encompasses immunophenotyping in varying matrices and optimizing FCM assays for fit-for-purpose use. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, immune-oncology, immunology, molecular biology, biochemistry, or cancer biology and will be supervised by an established subject matter expert.

Key Responsibilities:

Work as part of a highly collaborative interdisciplinary team in an integrated early drug development laboratory.

Work with different bioanalytical matrices to support FCM assay development.

Conduct laboratory experiments to characterize and optimize flow cytometric assays.

Execute existing pharmacodynamic assays using established SOPs to support early stage immune-oncology and immunology R&D projects in a detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications - External:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with typically 0-3 years of experience, or Master's Degree or equivalent education with typically zero - two years of experience

Experience with mammalian cell culture and/or isolating primary cells.

Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and scientific data presentation.

Ability to multitask and highly attentive to detail.

Ability to learn, understand, and execute new scientific techniques.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including excel and word; ability to learn new software applications.

Preferred:

Strongly preference towards candidate with 2+ years of flow cytometry experience; experience with various Client instruments (i.e. Fortessa, Symphony) is highly desirable.

Experienced with various flow cytometric analysis software including DIVA, FlowJo, FCS express, and GraphPad is highly desirable.
