Job description

We currently provide services to Lowes in delivering their building materials. And, in the process of closing a contract with American Freight to deliver their furniture and appliances. American Freight has limited locations thus may not be in all states.

This gig is app based meaning it works via an app which needs to be downloaded to receive orders. The gig consists of picking up from the stores mentioned above, locally to your location, and delivering it to the customers homes.

The number of loads per day varies depending on how many loads come in. People order online and when orders come in, they get assigned to the driver nearest to that store from where the items need to be picked up.

Drivers are expected to load and unload by themselves (although at times the store will help load and a customer might help with unloading).

Regarding Lowes Orders
Deliveries are local from where they are picked up (link removed) normally from 5 - 20 miles from pickup location (with an average being 8-12 miles). Mileage compensation for orders over 15 miles from pickup location to delivery location.

Loads can be anywhere from a couple of pounds up to 3,000 lbs. of building materials (plywood, sheetrock, 12' long lumber, compound, paint, screws, etc. ). Pay depends on the weight and is broken down into five price ranges the lowest being $55 (for just a couple of pounds) and the highest $125 (for loads 2,601+ lbs.). The exact breakdown of all five price ranges will be in the contract which will be sent to you if you decide to proceed further.

Dont let the weight fool you as 40 pieces of half inch sheetrock is just over 2,600 lbs which means the job pays $125. The same thing with 40 pieces of 10 2 x10 lumber is 2,600lbs.

Regarding American Freight
American Freight is a furniture/appliance store. Orders start with a pay range of between $50 - $70 (before the extras are added which can add up to a total of $200+ for the order).

With American Freight there are many extras for which drivers will receive additional compensation. For Instance:
1. Taking items up a flight of stairs (each flight of stairs is another charge);
2. Appliance Hookup (Basic washer inlet, drain hoses & refrigerator ice makers)
3. Removal of items from premises (example: removing a sofa that is being replace with one the Driver is delivering)
4. Disposal Transportation Fee (transporting disposal to nearest authorized facility)
5. Orders can be up to 75 miles from the store (incremental monetary increases for anything over 10 miles)
6. And more!

When being offered the job, you will be informed of the extras in that order and the entire price for that specific order.

Additional Info
Drivers receive orders via our App. Our platform hours are Mon-Sat 7am-8pm, Sun 8pm-8pm. However, drivers can work whenever available.

Drivers paid via Zelle or Direct Deposit on a weekly basis (every Friday). (Zelle is preferred for immediate payment)
