Job Type: Full-Time (1099 positon)

Pay: $1100-1500/day

Job Summary:

As a Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, personalized care to our patients. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive a seamless continuum of care from admission to discharge, focusing not only on their acute medical needs but also on their long-term health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inpatient Care: Provide exceptional inpatient care for patients admitted to the hospital. This includes diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions, managing complex cases, and coordinating care with specialists.

  2. Patient Advocacy: Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring that the patient's voice and values are heard and respected throughout their hospital stay.

  3. Care Coordination: Collaborate closely with primary care providers, specialists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to patient care.

  4. Transitions of Care: Facilitate smooth transitions of care, ensuring that patients have a clear understanding of their treatment plans and access to follow-up care upon discharge.

  5. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research, and education to advance the standards of inpatient and integrated care.

  6. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to take an active role in their health.

  7. Hospital Rounds: Conduct daily rounds, assessing patients' progress and making timely adjustments to their care plans as necessary.

  8. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records, ensuring that all pertinent information is accessible to the care team.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) and BE/BC in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
  • California State medical licensure and hospital privileges.
  • Experience working in an Acute care setting is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and a collaborative approach to medicine.
  • A passion for improving healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
