Location: Onsite (Candidate can choose to work from one of the following office locations: Sunnyvale, CA; Burlingame, CA; or Redmond, WA)
Duration: 12 months contract with possibility of extension.
Start: Targeting October 2024
Pay Range: $127 to $137/hr on W2

At Reality Labs, we are exploring, innovating, and designing cutting-edge interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. Our mission is to push the boundaries of what's possible, and we are seeking a motivated Technical Program Manager to join our System Health team. You will play a crucial role in supporting system health initiatives for multiple wearable products, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and stable solutions.
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Technical Program Manager with a background in consumer device development, preferably with expertise in power and performance management. You will work closely with teams of hardware and software engineers, product managers, and cross-functional partners to deliver innovative wearable products. You will own the responsibility of managing end-to-end programs focused on ensuring the system health, security, and longevity of these products, helping Reality Labs achieve its vision.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Power and Performance (PnP) initiatives for new wearable devices, ensuring the efficient operation and longevity of the products.
Develop and execute comprehensive PnP plans in alignment with the Wearables organization's strategy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create roadmaps for PnP feature rollouts.
Build detailed execution plans, set clear milestones, and ensure accountability to deliverables.
Report program status, risks, and mitigations to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Analyze data to provide insights, identify gaps, and drive business forward.
Build strong relationships across engineering and other departments, leveraging them to meet program goals.
Drive multiple product initiatives, working with engineering teams to define long-term strategies and end-to-end plans for system health programs.
Communicate program goals, milestones, and progress effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications:
6+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager managing consumer device or software programs from inception to production.
Proven track record in delivering technical programs, including managing timelines, risks, and quality assurance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Strong experience leading cross-functional teams (software, hardware engineers, product managers, peer TPMs).
Expertise in data analysis with proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets, and scripting skills in SQL and Python (a plus).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear, actionable plans.
Experience in managing multiple concurrent programs and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience building systems and processes to improve power, battery, and thermal performance in hardware and software systems.
Experience improving user-facing quality in hardware and software products.
Demonstrated success in driving programs for consumer electronics with a focus on system KPIs.
