Job description

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist evaluates and provides physical therapy services to the patients as prescribed by the attending physician. This may include but is not limited to: interpreting physicians' orders, evaluating and developing individualized treatment programs for patients, supervising treatments provided by Physical Therapist Assistants, Physical Therapy Aides, and/or Students performing re-certifications, and updating goals and programs as needed by individuals providing caregiver training.

Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited physical therapy school. Licensed by the state in which the Physical Therapist resides or practices physical therapy according to the state requirements. Must have good communication skills in order to work effectively with employees, facility staff, patients, and physicians.

Physical Demands
Mobility, reaching, bending, talking, typing, sitting, carrying, standing, grasping, fine hand coordination, ability to hear, ability to read and write, and the ability to remain calm under stress. Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Requires moderately heavy physical exertion on a regular and reoccurring basis such as extensive driving, assisting patients in transfer activities (e.g., wheelchair, bed, tub, commodes, mat, floor), and providing substantial support to individuals during ambulation. Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently during the course of a workday. Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds of dead weight alone. Regularly required to complete standing presentations involving speaking and listening to the audience. Efficient and effective use of diagnostic and therapeutic equipment.
Responsibilities
PT will be responsible for evaluations, treatments, and overseeing PTAs and/or aides.

Evaluates plans and prepare written treatment based on evaluation of the patient, including functional goals.

PT will document treatment, response, and progress in the patient's chart including communication with the physician through progress reports and discharge summaries;

License/Certification:
• Physical Therapy License (Required)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)

Work Environment
Health care setting. Travel by automobile as required.

Physicians and Clinic Office Manager

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $30.00 - $47.95 per hour
