Service Offerings of the Master Data Management (MDM) team - Global Supply Chain:
The individual will report to the MDM team in the Commercial Supply Chain organization. The team's service offerings are to simplify data maintenance and governance across core data assets leveraged by Supply Chain, with the goal to i) drive efficient execution of core business processes and ii) drive strategic intent to transform data to enable advanced analytics and ongoing cross-functional initiatives.
This role will have 2 responsibilities:
Customer Master Data Lead: The individual will manage the Customer Master Data processes, technology, training, and internal controls for commercial Supply Chain, globally. This person will establish plans and objectives for maintaining Customer Master data integrity and will be the gatekeeper from Supply Chain for Data Governance best practices at the enterprise level. This role promotes Data Governance and helps build a collective, shared vision for focused, consistent, and ongoing data quality initiatives. The individual in this role will establish a reputation as a "go-to" resource across Commercial Supply Chain to support master data challenges and new requirements.
Objectives of this role:
Establish and implement master data management capabilities and best practices aligned with Commercial Supply Chain's business goals and priorities
Establish and operationalize the appropriate master data operating model by building effective partnerships with business domains, ensuring clear alignment on roles and responsibilities.
Leverage effective relationship building among business partners to understand the data needs, and data dependencies and identify opportunities for business process standardization
Understand the technology landscape of transactional systems, data management, and master data layer, to analytics and consuming applications
Define and own relevant data management principles and policies
Identify and report maintenance-related issues, analyze root causes, and resolve issues
Identify risks and drive continuous improvements in data management through technological innovation, operational improvement, and championing adoption
Provide training and guidance regarding master data processes, ensure compliance
SAP TM Master Data Lead: The potential candidate will be the master data lead responsible for implementing SAP TM for all Supply Hubs.
Objectives of this role:
Develop a data implementation strategy for each supply hub
Responsible for leading As-Is, and To-Be workshops to confirm scope, understand business requirements, and translate to data needs.
Responsible for data gathering, identifying data ownership, defining data validation rules, and ensuring data correctness.
Leverage effective relationship building among business partners to understand the data needs, and data dependencies and identify opportunities for business process standardization.
Responsible for creating/updating SOPs and guidelines to ensure governance
Responsible for all cutover activities leading up to Go-Live and sustainment
Skills & Preferred Qualifications:
Established expertise and knowledge of Pharmaceutical/Biotech Supply Chain is highly desired
5+ years working experience in related data discipline
Experience with SAP, S/4HANA is highly desired
Prior experience leading process change and/or systems implementation strongly preferred
Deep understanding of master data management, data governance, and associated technologies
Proven experience in establishing and operationalizing data management capabilities (not only maintaining)
