Job Purpose

The Software QA & Governance Department under Digital Services Development division (DSD) of American Honda Motors (AHM) is responsible for operations and quality management of digital services and software products, including Connected Apps and Backoffice. The department also provides Customer Relationship (CR)/Call Center support and training, release approval, architecture, cybersecurity, and Divisional PMO/Admin services.
The department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application who has end-to-end knowledge of the entire Telematics ecosystem. The Application Architect is responsible for thought-leadership for innovation toward the next evolution of Digital Services Development (DSD) technology products that will help us reach our future-focused goals. The application architect will be responsible for the design and support of the applications at DSD. In addition, solutions and governance for applications will be keys to the success of this role.



Key Accountabilities

Develop and promote Digital Services Development Strategy, architecture, methodologies, and standards

  • Work together with solution architects and team lead to develop and deliver long-term strategic goal for Digital Services Development architecture
  • Support development of products for HondaLink and AcuraLink
  • Support solutions and data security governance for Digital Services Development



Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

  • BS in Computer Science, information systems, or computer engineering
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in application architecture3
  • 5+ years of project and support experience in the automotive area
  • 5+ years of automotibve customer and / or dealer support experience.
  • 5+ years of business consulting experience.
  • 5+ years strong Analyst experience
  • 2-3 years of Automotive, Telematics/Connected Vehicle or Consumer Electronics/IoT experience desired
