Job Description

Location and Hours: Torrance full-time (must be in person)

Responsibilities:

Maintaining an accurate general ledger, posting adjustments as needed

Reconciling bank accounts

Understanding of accrual accounting, debits and credits

Create Journal Entries

Processing invoices for payment (both hard copy and EDI).

Reviewing and reconciling AP and AR accounts.

Generating reports and executing check runs.

Assisting with month-end close procedures.

Verifying invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before payment.

Reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Prior supply chain/logistics accounting experience is a plus

Prior experience with MAS/SAGE Accounting ERP and QB is a plus

Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to adapt quickly to new situations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or working towards degree (must have work experience as described below)

Strong Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in xlookup/vlookup

A minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, is required
