Job description

Overview:
Under minimal supervision, the Transformation Project Manager III (TPM) leads and oversees our strategic transformation initiatives, ensuring the successful delivery and management of complex projects. The TPM is responsible for support planning, coordination, and execution of transformation program Initiatives with activist project management best practices with a focus on auditing status, managing risks, issues and conflicts plus tracking initiative interdependencies. In addition, the TPM will coordinate with the VP, Transformation Office (TMO) to manage day to day and end-to-end activities of the TMO program including Initiative Building, Resource Planning, Program Status, Value and Reporting metrics (KPI) for success.

Responsibilities:
Identifies and determines project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks for transformation. Exercises considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions.

Implements project communication plan based on identified stakeholders and commitment analysis.

Reviews and validates initiative plans

Ensures consistent application of project management standards by Initiative Owners.

Ensures that project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives, including maintaining robust tracking of expected outcomes.

Follows up on action items assigned to project team members; tracks project activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget; reviews project status and modifies schedules or plans as required.

Maintains schedules for key governance meetings and supports facilitation.

Ensure status updates and other reporting are provided timely and accurately.

Assists the VP, TMO in development of detailed analysis and recommendation in support of projects.

Regularly provide project status update for management.

Benchmarks project performance continuously to identify improvements and achieve higher capability maturity in project execution.

Assists with the VP, Transformation Office (TMO) with analysis and reporting.

Assists with the selection, negotiation, and managing of all activities regarding external consultants or vendors.

Working with VP, TMO and Initiative Leads, establishes a work plan, Sprint design and staffing for initiatives.

Assists with presentation development for key transformation meetings.

Proactively identify risks and issues for transformation program and initiatives, escalating issues to VP, Transformation Office as required.

Provides leadership and/or coaching to project team members, including Initiative Leads, throughout multiple projects, inclusive of supporting Agile ways of working.

Working with VP, TMO, Initiative Leads and business/product owners establishes post implementation success KPI, metrics and reporting.

Acquire knowledge of the program, projects, initiative, and systems to become an effective transformation advocate.

Qualifications:
Education

Min/Preferred: Preferred

Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree

Description: Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance, Organizational Development, Information Technology or equivalent.

Experience

Minimum Years of Experience: 4

Preferred Years of Experience: 6

Comments: 4 to 6 years of experience in managing complex projects or workstreams.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability

Experience supporting and managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders including senior leaders. Own and solve complex tasks that are part of a large project and lead small projects on their own.

Project manager training and certification (MPM AND/OR CAPM) preferred. SCRUM Master certification (CSM) preferred.

Strong communication skills: Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees including senior management using excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills.

Robust analytical and problem-solving skills: Proven ability to think strategically, innovatively, and develop tactical execution plans to drive success

Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively to build positive, productive relationships with other Credit Union team members

High Proficiency with Microsoft suite of office products with Advanced Excel a plus and familiarity with project planning tools.

Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing competing priorities

Pay Range:
USD $81,069.60 - USD $(phone number removed) /Yr.
