Note: This role will be a predominantly office position and will include managing an email inbox for internal customer orders for supplies/products that need to be reviewed and then check for inventory of items for that order and place a hold on them in their ERP system (SAP) and also place it on the Smart Sheet log that the team uses. We are looking for someone with very strong communication and customer service skills. The person will not actually be pulling the orders, but rather coordinating the orders. Strong MS Office skills are a must and ability to manage and prioritize multiple items to ensure orders are filled and deadlines are met
Summary:
This position is responsible for understanding firm demand to coordinate and maintain, production schedules to make sure deliverables align in the best and most efficient way. Working closely with various departments to ensure smooth and efficient production flow. This role requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in Material Requirement Planning (MRP), Sales understanding, Inventory and Operations Planning, and Procurement.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the bio-tech industry. Process all sales orders, review requests and orders submitted by sales and customer service, track volumes requested to make sure material is not over sold. Responsible for unit selection, testing and shipping for select customers. Track test results from vendors and internal lab. Work with Quality department to ensure all test results and documents have been received. Responsible for all scheduling, processing, and tracking of material needing to be Gamma Irradiated. Assist in additional ad-hoc operations duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resources.
Utilize Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning to forecast and plan production needs.
Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure the timely availability of materials required for production.
Collaborate with various departments including sales, operations, and logistics to ensure alignment of production plans.
Anticipate and identify potential issues in the production process and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Continually review and improve production planning processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Participate in cross-functional teams to implement new processes or systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Processes WO's received from Customer Service team - Supports fulfillment of orders. Receives, keys, and processes orders and changes. receipt, keying, and processing of order. Coordinates with other internal department to on schedule for product delivery commitments. May track inventory and received shipments.
Act as a liaison between MNFG, WHS and Shipping teams with CS/ Commercial teams - Coordinate activities and material availability towards customer requirements to meet commercial commitments on time.
Operations Testing and Programing - Performs routine sampling and analyses inventories, including control samples. Prepares, operates, and/or maintains samples, and/or supplies managing related vendors. May maintain analytical data and required statistical records. Makes sure, all required materials are available and ready to be used, in order to deliver required products on time as per customers needs and agreed shipping dates. Interacts with vendors and other teams, such as manufacturing, shipping, QA, etc. to make sure all activities are performed in alignment to schedule. (Included but not limited to Clean Room).
Miscellaneous Tasks / Additional Support: Assists with orders and operations activities for other business lines as needed Assists with manufacturing outlines for other business lines as needed Maintaining required paperwork on file and updated Sends samples to third party labs when required and provide necessary info to in-house lab Additional tasks as necessary
Job Requirements:
Requires a BS degree and 2 years of experience or an equivalent combination of skills and experience
Knowledge of MS Office Suite, ERP systems, Adobe and Smart Sheet
