Our Director, Travel Product and Partnerships is accountable for maximizing travel partnerships to drive income through commission sales, overrides and cooperative marketing. Leverages relationships to build value added member benefits, member engagement and revenue growth.
This role influences strategic direction and leads the execution of Travel partnerships and product marketing at AAA MWG. This leader partners with Travel Marketing to develop fully integrated product marketing plans for all strategic product partners maximizing the co-op opportunities with each.
In addition, this leader partners with AAA Inc. to strengthen AAAs competitive market position and on-going relationships with strategic national partners in order to substantially grow AAA market share and revenues and identify new product opportunities that increase overall Member value and engagement.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Partnership Management:
Travel supplier contracting to negotiate sales goals, commissions and override opportunities as well as to enhance member benefits.
Destination partner contracting for cooperative marketing campaigns
Work with other clubs and AAA Inc to identify, develop and manage new partnership opportunities
Monitors the established service level requirements of Preferred Travel Suppliers to ensure achievement of defined service levels essential for MWGand member satisfaction. Develops improvement plans as necessary and monitors progress.
Participates on supplier advisory boards
Liaises between sales, business operations and partners to resolve member experience issues
Partnership Sales & Marketing:
Crafting product and marketing strategy to maximize Travel growth and achieve revenue goals
Deliver L&D programs to upskill the Travel Advisors
Provides strategic partnership and collaboration with key business partners in planning, sales/marketing integration, channel distribution and program development to drive performance against revenue and member experience targets
Collaborates with Travel, Insurance, Membership and Brand marketing leaders to align marketing efforts, build integrated plans and deliver strong results.
Effectively manages multiple external vendor relationships and works effectively with creative teams to produce high quality and successful campaigns.
Product Mix Management
Leads annual and long-term planning for Travel product mix to analyze gaps, trends and opportunities
Defines product and partner hierarchy related to sales goals and incentives
Participates as MWGs liaison for contract negotiation, on-going relationships and communication with AAA Preferred Travel Suppliers to ensure AAA clubs and members are offered maximum benefit from the Preferred Supplier program.
Participates on national committees for Product Advisory

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field plus 6 years or High School diploma plus 10 years of travel industry experience, with an extensive knowledge of the AAA infrastructure and current trends in the wholesale, retail and online travel industry.
2 years of Management Experience
Valid Driver's License
