Job description

Maxima Therapy is looking for full-time or part-time, creative and committed Physical Therapy Assistants (PTA) to join our transdisciplinary therapy team comprised of speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, child development specialists, and assistants.

The position entails a flexible work schedule, providing individual services to children ages from birth to 3 years of age with varying delays at clients' homes and/or daycares. We offer competitive rates starting from $55 per hour and an excellent benefits package for eligible employees which includes: medical insurance, 401K, sick time, paid vacation, and a flexible schedule. All of our clients are located in Los Angeles County, CA.

Schedule:
We use proprietary software and AI for therapist-client matching
Therapists have autonomy to select clients
Flexibility in scheduling: part-time or full-time options
Workload range: 5 to 40 hours per week
Client selection can occur at therapists' convenience

PTA Duties:
1:1 treatment in clients' homes or daycare settings
Provide parent education and support
Collaborate with team members
Take/submit progress notes as required

PTA Minimum Requirements:
California PTA license
Reliable car, proof of auto insurance, and a valid driver's license
Proof of immunization records, CPR certification, and current, negative TB test
Strong work ethic, written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills; team-oriented
Previous pediatric treatment experience preferred
Multilingual speaking/reading/writing skills are a plus

Physical Requirements:
Therapy activities may require playing on the floor or settings where the furniture is child-sized
Careful attention to the safety of the client and surroundings is required
Sudden and quick movements may be required
Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting,
Reaching above the head, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds
Sustained physical activity may be required for up to 60 minutes

Desirable candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work well as part of a team, strong written and verbal communication skill.
