Job description
Overview:
The Slot Technician Specialist is primarily responsible for the successful preparation and execution of all slot installs, moves and conversions. Additionally, this position is responsible to order, receive and control all slot machine parts and supplies used in the daily administrative and technical operation of Slot Operations. They are also expected to assist the Slot Technician Manager with all aspects of superior service to both the internal and external guests. The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing administrative support, maintaining correspondence files, assigned projects, and organizational assistance.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
- Directly responsible for the complete preparation and accurate execution of all Slot Technical projects.
- Performs File submissions and machine project notifications in a timely manner according to all ERGC regulations.
- Maintains all slot system databases (SDS, GLI, Fuzion, Slot Master File, and more).
- Maintains relevant paperwork pertaining to Slot Machine moves and conversions including fully executed project checklists for all completed projects.
- Performs audit on all completed Slot Machine moves and conversions.
- Performs Slot Machine parts ordering and maintains an active inventory of on hand Slot Machine parts.
- Interface directly with vendors and suppliers for price quotations, parts availability and delivery. Prepare purchase requisitions and track outstanding orders.
- Assists in weekly scheduling of Slot Technical Department.
- May be given regular assignments as needed to increase overall department technical knowledge.
- Maintains data files relevant to Slot Operations.
- Provides communications with internal and external sources regarding Slot data.
- Attends and participates in meetings, completing follow-up as assigned.
- Performs work regularly and predictably.
- Interacts with internal departments and external vendors / agencies and provides, implements and communicates a variety of duties and information.
- Cleans and sanitizes work and public spaces.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)
This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through a bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, and 1 to 3 years of related experience, 1 year of supervisory responsibilities over technical training; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc):
- Must obtain and maintain valid licenses / certifications per Federal, State and ERGC Gaming regulations.
- Must successfully pass background check.
- Must successfully pass drug screening.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts and/or unusual hours.
- Prior experience in the Gaming industry strongly preferred.
- Must have strong Excel knowledge.
KNOWLEDGE OF:
- Pertinent federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Hard Rock operations and slot related machinery.
- Team Leadership and motivational skills.
- Computer knowledge. Windows, Microsoft Word and Excel skills required.
