We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director Systems Engineering - Mission Management Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) for one of our premier programs on our Aurora, Colorado campus.

As the Associate Director Systems Engineering - Mission Management IPTL Lead, you will be responsible for leading the MM components through planning, development and integration and test, all while meeting or exceeding scheduled milestones. In this role you will manage 180+ Engineers on a geographically dispersed team with many Agile Development Teams.

In this role you will be responsible for the component's cost, schedule, and technical performance baseline as well as ensuring the MM component products come together technically for each delivery You will work directly with Program leadership, Systems and Software Teams and other Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL's) and external stakeholders to execute a multi-million dollar sub-contract.

What You Will Do

  • Work to execute the MM component within cost and schedule
  • Be responsible for innovation with respect to modernizing the MM software baseline
  • Lead the team to evolve their Agile DevSecOps practices
  • Develop and hire staff to execute the MM component
  • Provide strategic leadership on new methods to implement and deploy to operations MM baseline with a low risk approach
  • Work with members of the senior management team to support and implement the organizations business strategies

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Engineering, or related Technical field with a minimum 12+ years' relevant or equivalent experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
  • Active and transferable Top Secret / SCI Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Previous experience leading Agile/DevSecOps teams
  • Experience leading Engineering Teams on Department of Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
  • Experience driving cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Experience providing technical Systems Engineering plans

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience with any of the following: Cloud technologies and migration to the Cloud, Containerization and databases, Automation (Build, Deploy, Test), Agile tool sets (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.), and/or Evaluation of COTS/FOSS
  • Experience leading large (100 person+) Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs Software Engineering Experience, developing, testing, and integrating code
  • Experience leading large (50 person+) Engineering Teams on Defense and/or Intelligence Programs
  • Experience ensuring consistency across an integrated product team
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities as well as demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with management and individual contributors
  • Understanding of SW development processes

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
