Volt is immediately Cyber Security Engineer Position type: Contract or Contract to hire
Duration: 12 months Location: Colorado Springs, CO (Schriever SFB) (On-Site) As Cyber Security Engineer you will:
• Seeking a well-qualified Principal Cyber Security Test Engineer to join the Cyber Security Engineering team for a dynamic, high-profile program located at Schriever Space Force Base. • The Principal Cybersecurity Test Engineer participates in a program which includes establishing methods and techniques, planning tests, develop test scripting, writing procedures and reports, and conducting tests utilizing comprehensive knowledge of these complex subsystems. • Utilizes a broad knowledge of engineering knowledge and applies understanding of principles of related engineering and software technology to ensure test validity and integrity. • Conducts tests, which include collaborating with others in establishing language, database, and computer simulation requirements and configuration management techniques. • The position works in a SCIF environment with flexible work hours to accommodate work/life balance practices. • This role is an onsite role at Schriever Space Force Base with periodic travel to Aurora, CO. What You Will Do
• Develop and execute test procedures for verifying cybersecurity and information assurance requirements of a complex, software-based satellite ground control system
• Identify, document, integrate and troubleshoot cybersecurity-related issues
• Develop Analysis and Inspection Reports (AIRs) for verification of cybersecurity and information assurance requirements of a complex, software-based satellite ground control system
• Support reporting and data analysis activities related to formal test activities
• Travel to support the program. Travel not anticipated to exceed 50% (to Aurora, CO) This is a 12 Month full time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity. This position requires Active Secret Clearance. The Ideal candidate will have:
• Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience
• Experience with Integration/Test related to cybersecurity on a government contract including experience preparing and executing test procedures to verify cybersecurity requirements of a satellite ground system and/or experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) configuration and requirement verification
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience identifying and resolving issues with cybersecurity and information assurance policies
• Experience with DoD U.S. Government programs. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• Experience with ground station satellite domains (command and telemetry, flight dynamics or mission planning)
• Experience with System Engineering practices regarding Testing, Verification and Validation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills. Pay Range: $95.00 - $105.00 per hour.
