Hardware Maintenance Engineer
Location: Aurora, CO.

Job Responsibilities: Provide real-time, 24/7 support for operational and supplementary computer and communication equipment at operational sites. Provide scheduled and unscheduled preventive/corrective actions and emergency maintenance on system devices and infrastructures. Ensure reliable, redundant paths of data collection and communications for continued processing of the operational Ground Communication Network system. Manage the Support Center which provides insight to inter-site telecommunications, networks, and other supporting systems. Assist the operational crews in configuration of hardware, to include making recommendations for improved or alternate modes of hardware utilization to support communications systems. Desired Skills: Understanding of technical principles, theories and concepts, pertaining to hardware, network, comm and antenna infrastructures. Ability to identify alarms, issues and anomalies, and recommend/implement course of action to mitigate or resolve. Experience with network/system monitoring tools (Network Node Manager, HP Openview). Familiar with test equipment including; Fluke, BERT, cable analyzers, sniffers, general hand tools and power tools. Knowledge of networking equipment such as Cisco or Juniper routers, switches, firewalls, etc. Aptitude to follow policies, procedures and checklists. Ability to coordinate real-time maintenance across a magnitude of entities, internal and external. Previous Communications Security (COMSEC) experience.
