Job description

Duties Devises strategic campaigns and guidelines for recruiting suitable candidates by collaborating with hiring managers and NAF entities to identify current and future hiring needs. Receives and reviews requests for personnel actions to fill vacant positions and reviews supporting documents for validity and completion. Evaluates qualification and job requirements provided by management/hiring official according to specifications (i.e., attributes, characteristics, experience). Researches, advises, and formulates job announcement postings and qualifications based off the needs of the NAF program. Creates and releases job opportunity announcements/positions. Assists candidates with the application process, screens candidate resumes, and job applications. Prepares recruitment materials and determines appropriate methods in filling vacant positions. Builds applicant sources through research and contacting community agencies/services, colleges/high schools, employment agencies, recruiters, social media/print media, internet sites/databases. Identifies potential candidates through any additional methods available. Establishes and maintains partnerships with off base agencies and sources. Researches and attracts candidates by posting internal and external recruitment advertisements on job boards, websites, and social media. (i.e., ZipRecruiter, Indeed, Linked-in, etc.) Organizes installation hiring events and attends outside agency hiring events promoting the Air Force's reputation and attractiveness as an employer. Conducts on-the-spot hiring events for the installation. Communicates organization information, opportunities, incentives and benefits to prospective candidates. Generates applicant list for the issuing of hiring certificate(s). Verifies applicant eligibilities; and makes qualification determinations of applicants. Issues certificate of qualified applicants to selecting official for consideration. Audits returned certificate to validate selection(s) are compliant to statutory laws and policies. Extends job offers and initiates pre-employment tasks/responsibilities. Will collaborate with applicant and servicing agencies to schedule pre-employment appointments. Explains hiring preferences, priority considerations, and status in the recruitment/pre-employment process to management and/or applicant. Acts as a point of contact and builds influential candidate relationships during the hiring process to facilitate future referrals. Responds to candidate's inquiries on employment with the organization. Responsible for meeting hiring goals by filling open positions with talented and qualified candidates. Monitor and apply HR recruiting best practices. Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports. May be responsible for initiating, processing, and tracking background investigations in compliance with rules, requirements, and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Experience interpreting and applying rules, regulations, and procedures in accomplishment of clerical/administrative work; utilizing recruitment tools in hiring personnel (i.e., generating job postings, job fairs, or equivalent); advising on routine recruitment strategies; Knowledge of office automation software (MS Windows, MS Office, MS Teams, including PowerPoint, Word, Access, and Excel) is required. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must possess skill in dealing with the public. Typing skills are required. Position is designated as a position of trust.
