Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time, permanent, direct-hire opportunity . The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 months of hands-on respiratory therapy experience and a commitment to patient care excellence. This role requires a graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, with a current RRT certification from the NBRC, along with a valid state respiratory therapy license.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver Exceptional Care: Administer and assess the effectiveness of respiratory therapies as outlined in the patient's care plan. Keep detailed records and communicate patient status to the healthcare team.
Drive Excellence in Patient Outcomes: Review and refine respiratory care protocols based on patient outcomes, the latest research, and industry best practices. Be a key responder during emergency codes and assist with critical situations.
Tailored Patient Treatment: Evaluate patient conditions and implement targeted respiratory treatments following established protocols, ensuring each patient receives the most effective care.
Patient and Family Educator: Empower patients and their families by educating them about respiratory conditions, treatment plans, and available community resources to support their journey.
Critical Thinking and Independence: Utilize your sharp critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work autonomously to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Be prepared to take swift, appropriate actions as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Certification: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
Licensure: Valid state respiratory therapy license.
NRP: Obtain within 1 year if assigned to NICU.
PALS: Obtain within 1 year if assigned to ED.
ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
BLS/CPR: Valid BLS through the American Heart Association or Red Cross, with card in-hand by start date (must be valid for at least 60 days post-hire).
