What You Will Do: You will be supporting a Raytheon program in a classified environment as a Sr. Principal Linux System Administrator. Responsibilities include building, maintaining, and securing Information Technology systems and directly supporting customer mission-critical capabilities. You will work closely with program developers and system engineers to research issues, determine root causes and implement solutions to system problems. Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance and on-call support and must be able to lift to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations. Occasional travel may be required for installation support. This position is an 100% onsite role. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires bachelor's degree and minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or a master's degree and minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience
Must have a current and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI CI Poly security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Must have Linux experience.
Must have an active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (or higher) on start date. IAT Level 2 requires one or more of the following Professional Certifications: Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, CND
Must have experience administering Red Hat Linux based systems
Must have scripting experience Qualifications We Prefer : Experience with patching, creating/maintaining RPM packages
Experience with performance tuning, networking, user management (LDAP), and security hardening
Administer, maintain and troubleshoot Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, BitBucket) Experience with Jenkins automation Configuration of Scanning tools Nessus/McAfee
Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS and LDAP Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors What We Offer Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
