Job description

A Global Government Contracting Company is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team in Boulder, CO! Designs and plans network communications systems. Provides specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Provides specific detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network design. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of network and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. Evaluates and reports on new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Work is to be done in accordance with processes. Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI. Seeking the following levels:
Level 3 (E3): 5-8 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 3-6 years of experience.
Level 4 (E2): 9-13 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 7-11 years of experience.
Level 5 (E1): 14+ years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree in a related discipline with 12+ years of experience. Additional Qualifications
- Active Top Secret security clearance (the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance)
- Experience in Linux
- Hands-on experience designing, deploying and managing LAN and WAN networks
- Must be able to support 24x7 operations environment
- Security + certification
Sound knowledge of network architecture, topologies, engineering, design, implementation, and testing
- Familiarity with communication products including router, switches, firewalls, Domain Name Servers (DNS) and data encryption products.
- Certifications in the industry vendors Cisco (CCNA) and Juniper (JNCIA) or higher level certifications
- Understanding of standard DoD security practices such as, STIG/RMF compliance and system accreditation implementation efforts
- Experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytic tools
- Network and Linux/RHEL automation utilizing Ansible
- Virtualization utilizing VMWare
- System troubleshooting skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team in a dynamic environment
- Bachelors degree is desired but not required. Can exchange minimum 4 years' experience in lieu of degree
