For more information about DAWSON, please visit JOB TITLE: Construction Program Manager BUSINESS SERVICE LINE: Construction REPORTS TO: Director of Construction EFFECTIVE DATE: 8/09/2024 SUMMARY: As a Program Manager for Construction West, you will play a crucial role in coordinating construction projects across the region. Reporting to the Director of Construction, you will assist in implementing processes and standards to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project management objectives, collaborating with project teams, and supporting business development efforts. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of the organization's construction projects in the West region. Annual Salary:$150,000- $175,000 based on interview and experience. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures for all employees. ' Support the Director of Construction West in establishing and implementing project management objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards. ' Collaborate with project teams to ensure projects are executed according to job specifications, project requirements, and corporate policies. ' Assist in developing project plans and schedules, monitoring project progress, and identifying and addressing any issues or delays. ' Track approvals for proposals, contract changes, and other project-related documents according to the Dawson Authority Matrix. ' Support the management of project budgets and expenses, including monitoring costs and identifying opportunities for cost savings. ' Assist in managing indirect costs to ensure compliance with corporate policies regarding overhead labor and travel. ' Participate in project review processes to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and reporting dates. ' Support employee development programs and plans as directed by the Director of Construction West. ' Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the West Region. ' Perform other related duties as assigned by management. Daily Duties: ' Review project progress reports and address any issues or concerns that may arise. ' Conduct meetings as needed with project managers to discuss daily priorities, tasks, and challenges. ' Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to provide updates on project status and address any inquiries or requests. ' Monitor safety compliance and address any safety hazards or incidents that occur on site. ' Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers as needed to ensure timely delivery of materials and resources. ' Review project budgets and expenses to track financial performance and identify any deviations from the budget. ' Provide guidance and support to project managers and team members as needed to ensure project objectives are met. ' Conduct site visits to inspect project progress, quality, and safety standards. Weekly Duties: ' Conduct weekly project review meetings to assess project performance, identify risks, and discuss action plans for addressing issues. ' Review and approve project change orders, budget revisions, and other contractual documents. ' Compile and analyze project data, including cost reports, schedule updates, and quality metrics. ' Meet with senior management to provide program updates, discuss challenges, and propose solutions. ' Conduct performance evaluations for project managers and team members to provide feedback and identify areas for improvement. ' Review and update program management processes, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Monthly Duties: ' Prepare monthly program performance reports, including project status updates, financial summaries, and risk assessments. ' Review and analyze project forecasts and projections to ensure accuracy and alignment with program goals. ' Conduct monthly safety audits and inspections to assess compliance with safety regulations and standards. ' Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to review program financials, reconcile accounts, and address any discrepancies. ' Participate in monthly business review meetings with senior management to discuss program performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives. ' Evaluate and approve project proposals and bids submitted by project managers and subcontractors. ' Conduct program risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential impacts on project delivery. Key Performance Indicators: Program Delivery Performance: ' Project Review Process Efficiency: Streamline the project review process to ensure compliance with corporate guidelines and reporting dates. ' Project Delivery Timeliness: Achieve a project delivery timeliness rate of 90% or higher. ' Percentage of projects completed on time and within budget. ' Program schedule adherence rate. ' Program budget variance. Safety Performance: ' Safety Compliance Rate: Maintain a safety compliance rate of 95% or higher among employees. ' Compliance with safety regulations and standards. Financial Performance: ' Revenue Forecast Accuracy: Achieve a revenue forecast accuracy rate of 90% or higher on all projects. ' Program revenue growth rate. ' Profitability of projects within the program. Team Development: ' Team Collaboration: Maintain favorable or higher team collaboration reviews during sensing surveys. ' Employee engagement and satisfaction within project teams. ' Training and professional development participation rates. Stakeholder Relationships: ' Stakeholder Satisfaction: Maintain a stakeholder satisfaction and CPARS rating of Satisfactory or Higher. ' Stakeholder feedback and satisfaction ratings. ' Number of successful stakeholder engagements and partnerships. Quality Management: ' Quality assurance and control measures compliance. ' Number of project defects or rework instances. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: ' Provide leadership, guidance, and support to project managers and project teams within the construction program. ' Mentor and develop project managers, fostering their professional growth and career advancement. ' Collaborate with senior management to assess staffing needs, recruit qualified candidates, and onboard new team members as needed. ' Oversee the performance management process, including performance evaluations, feedback sessions, and recognition programs, to ensure high performance and accountability within the program team. ' Coordinate with HR and training departments to develop and implement training programs, workshops, and professional development opportunities for program staff.
