Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for an Engineer Network - NetOps Engineer I (24-371) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Colorado Springs, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier globally and regionally. Networks integrate and synchronize autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities. The candidate will work collaboratively in a team environment with other highly motivated network engineers and independently at times on large field projects. The candidate is an entry-level engineer eager to learn new technologies, apply I.T. Engineering theory, and grow professionally. Essential Functions: Performs assignments in technical/engineering organizations. Learn the C2BMC System and its different technologies. Develop products to meet requirements. Meet deadlines and commitments. Some use and application of technical principles, theories, and concepts. Develops solutions to problems of limited to moderate scope and complexity. Work may be closely supervised while following specific, detailed instructions or under general supervision. Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, project leaders, and internal to company or group with infrequent customer contacts. Effective communicator with excellent writing and presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio drawing tools. Travel to alternate work locations to execute job duties such as deployments is required.
Basic Qualifications: Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. An active Secret clearance is required to start with the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance. 2 years with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years experience instead of a degree. Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA) 4-year college level of understanding of I.T. Infrastructure and Computer Science concepts and technologies. Experience with:
Scripting/programming languages such as JavaScript Python PowerShell Knowledge of orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet. Other scripting tools to automate networking tasks. Knowledgeable of configuration management tools like GitLab or others. Able to formally write processes and procedures for delivery into an operational network. The candidate will work within an agile team and plan work based on customer requirements and program contractual agreements.
Preferred Qualifications: Current and active Top Secret clearance is highly desired. A conceptual understanding of virtualization platforms such as VMWare, Virtual Box, and Hyper-V is desired.

Salary Range: $72,100 - $108,100
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
