Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GCCS-J Systems Administrator to join our team at USSPACECOM Joint Operations Center (JOC). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with GCCS-J from a User, System Administrator, or Fielder perspective. This position will provide day-to-day operation and sustainment of the classified systems to include completion of STIG checklists, vulnerability patching, GCCS-J and Agile Client/Agile Server configuration and operation, assisting USSC JOC watch standers with trouble reports, configuring CST and network channels, KML, full motion video, and other Agile Client plugin installation and configuration, installation and configuration of Splunk universal forwarder, accessing GCCS-J DADS to retrieve patches. USSC-JOC GCCS-J configuration and operation documentation, ensuring HBSS components are up to date including anti-virus DATs and point products. Member will serve as SME for configuration changes affecting the systems and enclave, notify the USSC J6 of any configuration changes, and IAW J6 Governance Processes, bring before the J6 approval boards prior to implementation. Ideal candidate will apply skills and ability to administer RHEL Linux 8, Windows Server 2022, Windows 10, Windows 11, Sybase, PostgreSQL, and JBOSS Enterprise Application platform. To ensure maximum flexibility and efficiency and to encourage cross training, employees will be assigned additional duties as necessary to ensure mission capability. Key Responsibilities: Administer, maintain, configure and troubleshoot GCCS-J systems
Perform system updates, patching, and ensure STIG compliance
Provide technical support to GCCS-J users and resolve complex issues
Collaborate with development and test staff to address and resolve onsite problems
Participate in the fielding and installation of GCCS-J systems
Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed
Develop and maintain system documentation and SOPs
Train and support GCCS-J users on system functionality and best practices
Required Qualifications: Top Secret with SCI eligibility clearance required
3 years' experience with configuration, system administration and operation of classified networks servers and workstations
2 years' experience with hardening servers and workstations using various information system security assessment/hardening tools
DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certification required
Experience with GCCS-J as a User, System Administrator, and/or Fielder
Strong understanding of Intel, Situational Awareness, Force Protection, and Missile systems
In-depth knowledge of system administration, including patching and STIG compliance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to convey complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
Capability to perform effectively under stressful situations
Experience with Splunk Enterprise
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8
Experience with Windows Server 2022
Experience with Windows 10 & Windows 11
Ability to manage hardware configuration, server administration, and sustainment of a Global Command & Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) v6.x or newer server enclave consisting of approximately 6 physical servers running a mixture of Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMWare operating systems, and virtual RHEL servers.
Preferred Qualifications: Operate Full Build Architecture to include the entire baseline.
Computing Environment certifications to include Microsoft Windows and Linux+
System Administrator experience with Global Command & Control System - Joint (GCCS-J) version 6.X
SACOP/SA Build Architecture
Basic COP Build Architecture
Candidate must possess extensive knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods.
Administration experience with Red Hat Linux environments. Minimum of three years highly preferred.
Experience and ability to maintain cyber security compliance and install necessary Windows or PM system patches available through the DISA DADS website.
Experience with intrusion detection using AESS and Tychon software and install necessary patches/updates available through DISA.
Experience with PC over IP (PCoIP) environments.
Red Hat System Administrator (RHSA).
VMWare Certified Professional (VCP).
Graduate of DISA's GCCS-J 6.x Advanced System Administration Course.
Experience with GCCS-J Agile Client (AGCLT) v6.x or newer software, COP, and I3.
Locations: This position will be expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs. Occasional travel to CONUS states for initial and refresher training courses may be required.
