Job description

Omitron is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Hardware & Systems Integrator to join our dynamic team supporting defense programs in Colorado Springs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in integrating, configuring, and testing complex hardware systems in a mission-critical environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless hardware components and subsystem integration, including system engineers, network engineers, software developers, and field engineers. Responsibilities: Lead the integration of hardware systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and system requirements.
Conduct hardware installations, configuration, and testing, ensuring compatibility and functionality of integrated systems.
Work closely with other engineering teams to Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and system integration issues.
Perform system performance tests, analyze data, and document results to verify proper system operation.
Collaborate with software teams to ensure proper software/hardware interfacing and integration.
Ensure that all hardware systems meet defense and industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and user manuals.
Provide technical support during the development, testing, and deployment of hardware systems in lab and field environments.
Participate in design reviews and risk assessments and provide input on system improvements.
Assist in training and mentoring junior team members on system integration best practices.
Travel is expected to various sites. Minimum Requirements: US Citizenship required
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: 5+ years of experience in hardware systems integration, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry.
Experience with integrating complex hardware systems, sensors, and communications equipment.
Familiarity with defense industry standards and compliance requirements (e.g., MIL-STD, DoD).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in hardware testing tools and diagnostic equipment.
Strong understanding of system architecture, hardware components, and integration methodologies.
Experience with COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf) and GOTS (Government Off-the-Shelf) hardware components.
Knowledge of networking protocols and hardware interfaces.
Experience with troubleshooting and debugging hardware/software issues.
Ability to travel, expected 50% Company Overview:

The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $195,000, depending on relevant experience, location, and other factors. Benefits include:
