Job description

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in interpreting current business needs, facilitating the generation of new ideas, developing and implementing solutions, and testing for functionality. This position will be instrumental in establishing the technical vision and analyzing tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. Responsibilities: Content Creation: will work with USG customers to research, write, edit and proofread content materials. Content Management: will work with USG customers to manage content lifecycle, including publishing, optimization and updates Content Quality: work with USG customer to ensure content is relevant, accessible and posted in a user-friendly format Content technical development: work with team to oversee the technical development and implementation of templates for SOPs, How-To-Guides, Instructions, etc. Identify, define and document information technology needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements and levels of systems access with the assistance of leadership team and staff Influence and manage requirements using activity diagrams, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, flowcharts, document analysis, surveys, workflow analysis, etc. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends Perform daily, weekly and/or monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports Gather information from multiple sources and critically evaluate it, reconcile conflicts, and disseminate high-level information into details Deliver work products throughout the project life cycle Confer with project managers to define concepts and use enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems Communicate and collaborate proactively with internal and external customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements Participate in user acceptance testing and undertake the functionality testing of new system/s Develop training curriculums and conduct formal training sessions Develop and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications Act as a team lead on designated projects or assignments and provide work direction to one or more technical or administrative staff Requirements: Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility Strong applied knowledge of platform services and a basic understanding of DevOps practices At least five (3) years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree may be used towards experience) Ability to problem solve and think critically Attention to detail, good communication skills, good project management skills Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills Preferred: Military and/or government experience a plus Business Management Professional (BMP) Certification a plus Experience with ServiceNow a plus Experience with SharePoint a plus Agile/Scrum Practitioner certifications a plus ITIL certification a plus Certifications in CompTIA Network+ and/or CompTIA Security + At least four (4) years of government contracting or equivalent experience Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, Management, or another scientific or technical discipline Locations: This position will be expected to perform duties at any customer facilities within Colorado Springs.
