R- Description Leidos is actively interviewing for a Junior Software Developer to join our team at Cheyenne Mountain in Colorado Springs, CO. The work includes trade studies, system engineering, model based system engineering, portfolio analysis, software development demonstration and product testing and deployment to Cheyenne Mountain. Leidos is focused on finding the best people, processes, and tools that will provide solutions in data integration and fusion, data analytics, data mining, predictive analytics, data visualization, and decision support tools. Primary Responsibilities Develop and maintain mission-critical software in support of missile defense systems
Participate in sprint and increment testing to validate software
Document and communicate proposed software solutions with integrated, cross-functional engineering teams in a fast paced highly technical environment
Stay up-to-date on state-of-the-art programming techniques and software technologies
Participate in software design and code reviews to ensure delivery of quality products and enhance skill sets
Ability to create software solutions utilizing established industry standards
Work with System Engineering Team to schedule, synchronize and execute demonstration capabilities to customers
Work with third-party contractors and stakeholders on any potential regression coding due to deployment delays
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's with 2 to 4 years of experience
Currently possess Secret clearance
Experience coding in C++ and Java
Experience developing micro-services and working with containerization
Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team
Ability to convey technical ideas in a clear, logical fashion
Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in associated field
Experience with missile warning and missile defense
Understanding of missile warning message types
Experience with agile software development process IAW USG defined requirements Original Posting Date: 2024-10-21

Pay Range: Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
