Job Description
• A successful Messaging and Collaboration Administrator candidate will have
o A basic understanding of exchange services management in a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment
o A basic understanding of Mail Flow, Disaster Recovery, Managed Availability, Messaging Policies, Compliance, Configuring Reporting & Logging, Mailbox migrations both on prem and cloud, and a deep understanding of SMTP
o Server management experience
• The ideal candidate will have
o Experience with on-prem and cloud tools to include active directory, azure active directory, Cloud Exchange Admin Center (EAC), Microsoft Entra Identity, MFCMapi, MS Purview, M365 Defender, and PowerShell scripting and remedy ticketing system
o Strong troubleshooting skills
o Server 2012 or Exchange server management experience
Key Tasks and Responsibilities From PWS/SOW
• Remedy system - Incident, Work Order, Task, and Change request resolution
• Providing customer support to help resolve end user technical issues
• Managing user accounts in AD/Azure AD
• Managing Distribution lists and shared mailboxes
• Provide troubleshooting and policy documentation to local and external customers
• Working with Tier III and other Tier II support groups
• Ability to use Active Directory and Exchange tools for troubleshooting
• Using PowerShell cmdlets and scripts to manage Exchange
• Manage and provide support for customer mobile devices
• Provide base support for Outlook and cloud mail services
• Documenting incident resolution and providing customer updates
Education & Experience
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and 0 - 2 years of related experience
Certifications
• Required
o Security+, or other qualifying IAT II certification.
o Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) within 120 Days
• Desired
o Microsoft 365: Messaging Administrator Associate
o Microsoft 365: Administrator (MS-102)
o Microsoft MCSA 2012 or newer
Security Clearance
• Desired
o Active Secret Clearance
• Required
o Applicants must have eligibility to obtain a Secret clearance.
Other (Travel, Work Environment, DoD 8570 Requirements, Administrative Notes, etc.)
• The primary shift for this position is Saturday - Tuesday, 2100 - 0700 however; this is a 24/7/365 mission, and the ability to support Day, Swing, and Mid operations is required. If a temporary schedule change is required to support operations, you will be provided with as much notice as the situation allows.
• Certification requirements are subject to change at the government's direction. If this occurs you will have 120 days to become compliant.
• Salary Range: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
The posted range is appropriate for a typical candidate meeting, at a minimum, all the core requirements of the position.
