Job description

Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Systems Administrator . This role will support Space Force command providing support for approximately 300 users. T he job is located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, with hybrid telework options for local candidates. Up to 10% travel may be required within the U.S. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Network, web, and communication system administration, including monitoring system performance, identifying and resolving system failures Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software Planning and implementing system maintenance and upgrades Ensuring system security and data integrity, including managing user access and implementing data backup and recovery procedures Preparing technical implementation plans, and optimizing system operation and resource utilization Providing technical support and troubleshooting for users, training users on how to perform business system functions Collaborating with other IT teams, such as development and security, to ensure system compatibility and compliance with IT policies and procedures Maintaining documentation of system configurations and changes Participating in system design and planning discussions to ensure that systems and infrastructure are scalable, secure, and efficient Keeping up to date with new technology and industry developments to improve system performance and efficiency. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen Clearance: Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, eligible to obtain a Top Secret clearance and be able to maintain it Education: High School Diploma Year's of experience : Fifteen (15) years of directly related experience; to include eight (8) years of DoD experience; OR, Bachelor's Degree in related field and twelve (12) years of experience in the respective technical discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience; OR, Master's in a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the respective technical discipline; to include five (5) years of DoD experience Preferred Qualifications: Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance Certification: System Administration certifications based on DoD 8570 IAT Additional experience: Jira administration experience- Highly Preferred Confluence administration experience- Highly Preferred MS Systems Administration Additional Information: Location: Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs CO - Building 2025 Hybrid: Telework capabilities for local candidates (percentage of telework allowed will vary based on the customer's discretion) Travel: Travel may be required to CONUS locations (approx. 10%) Company Overview Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, is an innovative small business committed to providing world-class technical, management, and training support services to government and public sector clients.
