What You'll Do: Plan, research, develop, and communicate in-depth analyses of complex and significant national, regional, and/or global issues for senior policymakers and key components of the Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community (IC). Plan, research, and lead production of a broad range of finished intelligence products that support U.S. counter-proliferation efforts; provide analytic assessments on counter-proliferation, nuclear, chemical, and biological warfare topics, arms control, exploitation program planning, development, and execution. Plan, prepare, and present written and oral briefings to senior internal and external clients on significant intelligence issues; explain complex concepts to non-expert clients and tailor production to respond to client needs. Apply a full range of methodological tools and approaches to gain a comprehensive understanding of complex and significant analytic issues and incorporate insights and findings into well-crafted, sophisticated intelligence products. Cultivate and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with colleagues, subject matter experts (SMEs), and analysts across the Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE) and Intelligence Community and leverage these relationships to share information of interest. May require shiftwork when forward, including nights and weekends. What We're Looking For: A master's degree with a minimum of 12 years in a relevant field, with some experience within the last 2 years OR a bachelor's degree plus an additional 5 years of senior experience, totaling 17 years as a substitute for a master's degree. Expert who brings extensive knowledge and skills in the areas of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), CBRNE, and related fields. Demonstrated expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, with a commitment to pursuing innovative developments in tradecraft from academia and beyond. Ability to craft comprehensive and unique research approaches that enable rigorous assessments, addressing high-level analytical tasks effectively. Proven capability in analyzing operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and interagency boundaries, with clear articulation of key findings. Expertise in reviewing analytic products to ensure cogent arguments, adherence to tradecraft standards, and robust support for conclusions, regularly testing for analytic rigor. Strong ability to plan, research, and write complex analyses, studies, and briefings focused on U.S. foreign policy and national security objectives, particularly in WMD and CBRNE. Extensive understanding of DoD, Defense Intelligence Enterprise (DIE), and Intelligence Community (IC) policies and procedures, along with superior communication skills to convey intelligence effectively to both specialists and generalists. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality finished intelligence related to WMD and CBRNE topics, along with an understanding of the role of intelligence analysis within the DIE and IC. Proficient in a range of methodological tools for research, analysis, and data presentation, including analytic modeling, link analysis, and relevant software. Strong capability in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, and MS Teams to produce polished analytic products.
