The ideal candidate will be an experienced, hands-on leader with a strong background in accounting and finance. You will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. Your role will be critical in maintaining the financial integrity of our company, and you will be a key player in strategic decision-making processes.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
3. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
4. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
5. Support month-end and year-end close process.
6. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
10. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
2. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation preferred.
3. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
4. Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations.
5. Proven working experience as a Financial Controller in the technology industry.
6. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
7. Experience with creating financial statements.
8. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
9. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
10. Must have experience with Ledger, Reconcile, Annual Budget, Year End Close, Fixed Assets, and Fund Accounting.
11. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
13. Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem-solving, and results.
