Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Researches emerging threats and vulnerabilities to aid in the identification of network incidents, and supports the creation of new architecture, policies, standards, and guidance to address them.
  • Identify and correct flaws in the security system.
  • Provides incident response documentation, including mitigating actions to contain activity and facilitate analysis where required.
  • Supports administration and maintenance of backups and restorations.
  • Supports the creation of business continuity/disaster recovery plans, to include conducting disaster recovery tests, publishing test results, and making changes necessary to address deficiencies.
  • Conducts network monitoring and intrusion detection analysis using various computer network defense tools.
  • Correlates network activity across networks to identify trends of unauthorized use of unauthorized use.
  • Reviews alerts and data from sensors and documents formal, technical incident reports
  • Assists and collaborates with MSSP regarding administration and monitoring of all aspect of association IT security.
  • Tests new computers, software, switch hardware and routers before implementation to ensure security.
  • Participates in cross-training for all systems.
  • Establishes guidelines, practices, processes, and procedures designed to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of network and security system functions.

  • Strong skills in planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing work in an orderly and efficient manner.

  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work with IT leadership, developers, QA, and BA.
  • Any other duties as needed to drive to the vision and fulfill the mission and abide by the values of the organization


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in network and/or security roles.
  • Hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, firewalls, Anti-Virus, IPS, IDS, SIEM, WAF technology, WAP technology, Azure
  • Experience with Sentinel One, Fortinet suite, Azure
  • Ability to work independently on project, including making project plans, test plans, implementation plans, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge of methods and standards for project management
  • Experience with documentation procedures, technical writing and agreements
  • Ability to analyze a variety of technical issues and recommend direction and options for solutions
  • Experience using MS Office applications
  • Occasional evening, weekend and non-regular work hours required



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with pension processing, membership and tax processing, and accounting principles and various financial systems
  • Direct knowledge and experience with both traditional Waterfall development and Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience working with CI/CD
  • Network and Information security certifications
    • CompTIA Security+, CISSP, COBIT, etc.
  • Hands-on knowledge of project management planning tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server, Git, SQL 2016
  • Experience with Pension Administration Systems
  • Experience with Hyland OnBase
  • Knowledge of both database and application development
