We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager/Site Safety & Health Officer to join our team. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan for the project in accordance with the Army Corps Three Phases of Control guidelines. • Ensure that all submitted documents comply with the contract specifications. • Verify blueprints and technical documents to confirm adherence to requirements at each stage of construction. • Provide documented assessments, evaluations, and support in Construction Quality Control (CQC) to subcontractors and staff. • Review all material submittals and catalog cuts to ensure alignment with plans and specifications. • Oversee the testing of water, soil, materials, and mechanical systems by approved personnel or facilities. • Distribute inspection and test results to relevant agencies in a written format. • Take prompt and effective preventive and corrective actions to address issues and minimize recurrence. • Submit hazardous material reports to the government environmental office as required. • Conduct pre-final inspections, establish punch lists if needed, and ensure timely resolution of all deficiencies. • Coordinate and conduct final inspections in collaboration with government contracting and civil engineer personnel. • Provide as-built documentation for completed projects. • Take responsibility for managing safety on the project site. • Assist in developing and implementing standardized Safety Programs. • Conduct site-specific safety orientations. • Coordinate and conduct weekly safety meetings. • Survey construction projects to identify and assess physical conditions, safety practices, and compliance with safety standards. • Analyze accident history and claims, and prepare necessary reports and recommendations. • Coordinate overall project safety by considering schedule, loss history, upcoming activities, etc., to enhance loss control efforts. • Conduct thorough accident investigations and propose corrective/preventive actions. • Collaborate with company safety professionals to enhance safety standards, codes, and regulations. • Review subcontractor safety programs to ensure adherence to project safety standards. • Ensure subcontractors receive appropriate training. • Monitor the proper use of equipment for productivity. Qualifications: • OSHA 30 hour. • USACE CQM Certification. • Experience with Procore and RMS. • Proficient with Word, Excel, and PDF. • Proven experience as a QC/SSHO on similar federal projects. • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards. • Expertise with safety regulations and procedures. • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities. • Effective communication and training skills. • As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable references and background check results. Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to maneuver around work sites, see, hear, and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Essential and marginal functions may require maintaining the physical condition necessary for bending, stooping, sitting, walking, or standing for prolonged periods of time; frequent opportunity to move about and to work outside the office environment for extended periods involving exposure to the elements with weather that will include extreme heat, cold, wind, rain or other inclement weather, walking over rough and uneven surfaces, and routine lifting of up to 35 pounds. If required, must properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times including but not limited to; hard hats, steel-toed boots, eye protection, respiratory protection, and hearing protection. Working Conditions: Job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially wildlife. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
