About the role: PMAT is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer to be a key contributor in producing world-class software and systems. This position will support multiple programs, improving existing architectures, developing new capabilities in current systems, and/or developing new external applications that augment overall operational capabilities. You will also be responsible for supporting all stages of the software engineering from a DevSecOps perspective, including design, implementation, installation, integration, and support. You will be a critical member of an experienced systems engineering team partnering with designers, developers, QA and product managers to deliver secure, high-performance applications at scale. The candidate for this position demonstrates strong technical and communication skills. They will be passionate about continually improving development and delivery processes with PMAT and capable of communicating that with other teams. Role Responsibilities: Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter, able to work in a highly collaborative, virtual, and versatile environment handling an array of duties and responsibilities with particular focus on the infrastructure to support large software team development and delivery, and multi-tasking abilities Provide subject matter expertise to support Dev/Sec/Ops throughout the entire software development lifecycle. Understand security requirements of various government instances. Create CI/CD pipelines and automated tests that can continuously to ensure that security is inclusive throughout the cycle and that delivered software meets program objectives. Support and improve implementation of solutions related to current programs currently supported by PMAT. Assess system design, development, and software implementation of proof-of-concept prototypes Support system deliveries with software interfaces to support multi-sensor, multi-INT sensor data dissemination. Propose new R&D efforts to enhance PMAT capabilities in this area. Provide mentoring to less senior DevSecOps engineering staff. PMAT is dedicated to enhancing our team members skills and career. You will be a critical part of that effort. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear designs. It is paramount that you work collaboratively with Software Engineers, Team Leads, and management to achieve PMAT goals. You are a creative problem solver, and you know how to work with others, building a consensus on solutions. You are a strong performer. Requirements: Required Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study (CS, CIS, CSE) 5+ years working in a DevOps setting, supporting the DOD Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, routing, VPNs, firewalls, etc ) Experience with containerization (Docker, VM Ware, etc) Understanding of git and version control Experience with Kubernetes (management, troubleshooting, components, etc ) Experience with a scripting language (Python, Bash, etc python preferred) Experience with a configuration management tool (Ansible preferred) Familiarity with Terraform Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Route53, etc ) Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc ) Strong problem-solving skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills Experience working with DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and/or infrastructure monitoring software Experience with cloud compute and software development pipelines Experience with USG Cybersecurity processes and controls (ex. Cyber Risk Management Framework) and implementing them on CI/CD, cloud compute, and software development pipelines Experience collaborating, documenting, and supporting complex production systems Production-focused, results-oriented. Ability to evaluate requirement scope and willing to speak up when needed to keep programs on target for timely deliveries. Desired experience: Experience with GitLab Advanced networking skills Knowledge of integrating security into DevOps (DevSecOps) Familiarity with additional CI/CD tools AWS certifications Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification (CKA) Clearance: US Citizenship required. Active Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred. Travel: Occasionally to Denver, CO, and to other potential customer locations. Work Environment: Denver area at PMAT offices as needed. Remote work is also acceptable depending on location and access to a PMAT office. In some cases, work in a government facility may be required.
