DESCRIPTION The ADC Commerce Platform team is looking for a System Development Engineer with a passion for continuous improvement. The Ateam owns and operates some of the most impactful services in AWS and we are looking for someone to help us to continue to drive improvements and optimizations though automation and process optimization. Our systems development engineers work in a fast-paced environment across many disciplines, collaborating with other AWS teams to deliver cutting-edge services for our customers. Our team members own the scaling and management of services across AWS regions supporting the US Government. The ideal candidate is passionate about development and operations, and have a strong desire to learn about drive continual improvements throughout Amazon's development lifecycle. The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 1+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems and hands-on systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)
- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Experience working in an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology

The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market.
