Test Engineer Location: Denver, CO Type: Full-time, On-site Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance with willingness and ability to obtain an SCI and CI polygraph Citizenship: US Citizenship required Job Highlights Are you a self-motivated individual who thrives on improving test performance and coverage? We are seeking a dynamic Software Test Engineer to join our fast-paced team. In this role, you will provide quality assurance through the writing and execution of manual and automated regression tests. You will support our developer team by testing new software as it is completed and directly assist our customers with troubleshooting. Your efforts will ensure our products deliver the reliable performance our customers expect. As a Test Engineer, you will collaborate with operational users to design, develop, and maintain capabilities that empower analysts to manage and fuse data from multiple intelligence sources in support of national security missions. Our software platform is developed and deployed on AWS cloud environments, and we are at the forefront of advancing analysis tools. Primary High-Level Objectives Modernize the capabilities (Cloud, Microservices Architecture, GitOps/DevSecOps, etc.). Create new capabilities while enhancing existing ones. Consolidate and/or improve workflows and data warehousing. Ensure a cohesive user experience through consistent and usable UIs and workflows. Key Responsibilities Test JavaScript/Node.js components and RESTful APIs. Query geospatial data from ESRI or OGC APIs. Utilize ArcGIS Enterprise Suite and ArcMap or ArcPro. Document existing test capabilities, performance, and needs. Collaborate with other testers, developers, and the operations integration team. Communicate clearly and effectively, maintaining composure during challenging discussions. Explore innovative ways to enhance test performance and coverage. Write and run automated back-end tests. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years of related work experience in software test engineering. Experience with various aspects of software development: infrastructure, design, development, test/QA, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Organized and capable of documenting test capabilities, performance, and needs. Security+ Certification (or obtained within the first six months of employment). Preferred Skills Experience with Agile methodologies and working on an Agile development program. Proficiency with test automation frameworks. Familiarity with Linux and Windows environments. Bash scripting skills. Experience with AWS, Docker/Kubernetes, Document-Oriented Data Stores (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr), Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and OGC WMS/WFS, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, RESTful APIs, and Git.
