Job description

The OTR Driver will be responsible for operating a reefer truck on nationwide routes, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. This role includes handling pick-up and delivery of third-party backhauls, as well as transferring items into stores using equipment such as a dolly or hand cart. The ideal driver will be diligent in performing pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining the truck to company and DOT standards, and keeping accurate driver logs. Expected Salary Range: $52,000-$71,500/yr (Based on full-time status and expected average of 2,500 miles driven per week (at $0.40-$0.55/mile DOE). Part-time will also be considered. New Hire Bonus - $1000 after 90 days of employment + $1000 after 180 days of employment. Third Party Backhaul Bonus of up to $200 for drivers who seek out freight and transport new Third Party Backhaul business. Wait periods may apply. Responsibilities Drive reefer trucks on nationwide routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Safely load, transport, and unload goods, including third-party backhauls. Transfer items into stores using appropriate equipment such as dollies or hand carts. Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any issues promptly. Maintain the truck in clean and good working condition, complying with company and DOT maintenance standards. Keep accurate and up-to-date driver logs according to DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse staff. Follow delivery schedules and ensure timely deliveries. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols. " /
