Accounting Manager - Internal Reporting

Due to internal promotion, growing national firm in Englewood is seeking an Accounting Manager. Onsite role in Englewood (with Fridays remote)

Responsibilities:

Responsible for team of 4-6, your team will provide the financial reporting for multiple operating companies, financial statement analysis with a strong focus on income statements, monthly close. This team will laise heavily with the operational staff in multiple locations throughout the USA.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Ensure team is providing the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close is completed accurately and within the monthly close cycle, including review of Balance Sheet reconciliations and P&L Statement
Ensure team is performing in-depth analysis of individual business' income statements and provide commentary to management on business performance, trends, and profitability
Provide training and development of accounting staff to maintain a high level of employee commitment and competence for sustained and self-reliant performance and achievement of the business platform and the company
Identify areas for improvement and automation, and implement improvements
Occasional travel required - 20% (once/month)
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Bachelor of Finance will be considered
6-8 years Audit and/or Accounting experience - a mix of public accounting and industry is ideal
Prior supervisory/management experience
Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
Strong leadership, analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to help team meet strict deadlines and prioritize
Experience with ERP systems (Great Plains a plus), and solid Excel skills
Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus
Team player
Self-motivated
Strong ability to problem solve
Excellent internal customer service skills
