Job Title: School Bus Driver
Reports to: Transportation Director
Hourly: $18.83 - $20.11 per hour
Work year: 150 days; additional pay for activity trips

Job Summary:
We are looking for a School Bus Driver to join our team to transport students to and from school and extracurricular events following a scheduled route while ensuring student safety.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid school bus driver license or be able to obtain one.
  • Proven work experience as a School Bus Driver or similar role.
  • Meet or exceeds state, federal and local transportation regulations.
  • Complete the pre-service training program of the West Grand School District.
  • Pass a prescribed physical examination administered by a physician.
  • Possess the physical and mental attributes of a good driver.
  • Possess the skills necessary to operate the vehicle in a safe manner.

Essential Functions:
  • Knowledge of basic first aid practices, procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of safe driving practices.
  • Ability to read and write at a level necessary to successfully perform the required duties.
  • Ability to understand and carry out both oral and written instructions in an independent manner.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and extreme caution while driving.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
