Job description

Seeking candidates who are able to start SkillBridge as soon as possible! This fellowship is available to start immediately, pending selection and unit approval. Through DoD SkillBridge and Hiring Our Heroes, Sierra Nevada Corporation provides internships to service members transitioning to the civilian workforce. These internships include up to six months of on-the-job training for eligible service members. During this time, participants gain valuable work experience in the civilian sector and build professional networks as they prepare for their transition to full-time civilian work. As a Proposal Manager, you'll oversee the bid submission process from initial contact through contract signing for our cutting edge products and services, including winning. You'll direct proposal activities in accordance with the request for proposal (RFP) specifications. Your duties will also include a review and approve proposals to ensure the appropriate themes are incorporated and resolving conflicts in team dynamics and condensed project timelines. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Minimum of 2 years of Proposal Management or Program Management experience (or combined
Experience with simultaneously managing multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery
Progressive technical, proposal writing and proposal management experience with emphasis in technical products and logistics services Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to motivate/work with others
Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment Experience preparing Pricing Volumes to include work breakdown structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE), including government contracting proposal processes and procedures
Prior experience in a Lead role; the ability to mentor, train, guide and inspect the work of team members and coordinate project tasks to ensure milestones are met
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Beginning experience with simultaneously managing multiple proposals of all sizes from proposal planning to delivery
Beginning skills in technical and proposal writing with emphasis in technical products and logistics services Ability to work successfully in a highly collaborative, fast-paced office environment Beginning experience leading overall proposal development process from Pre-Proposal Phase through Post-Proposal Phase for priority/strategic proposals as assigned Minimum ability to lead proposal teams on the development of complex, compliant, and compelling proposal responses Ability to use Proposal Management Software Tools: Please Review, Visible Thread, Expedience and 123 PAS Analyze and shred customer solicitation documents to create compliance matrices and create full proposal outlines Ability to produce and manage annotated proposal outlines, kickoff documentation, compliance matrices, and proposal deliverables Develop and maintain proposal schedules and drive proposal team in adherence to the schedule from beginning to end, ensuring early delivery to the customer Ability to help lead proposal color reviews to include scheduling, organizing, facilitating, preparing, conducting, and supporting comment summation, adjudication, and final inclusion Experience reviewing Cost Volumes to include Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) Ability to help authors with BOEs and the review of the content Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Excellent written and oral communication skills The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study (Communications, English, Journalism, Political Science) or equivalent years of experience Active Secret clearance APMP foundation certification
