You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle from analog and digital electronic circuit card assemblies to fully integrated systems. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations - with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries. Responsibilities: Review and approval of electrical drawings
Test witnessing on aircraft and in laboratory settings Must-haves: Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices
Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Ability to independently execute functional responsibilities for large programs on large transport category jet aircraft
Experience in the design and certification of electrical modifications to Part 25 aircraft with a modern certification basis
Experience with component selection and installation methods required for EWIS compliance.
Experience with Part 23, 25, 27, and 29 STC ODA
Ability to coach and mentor early career electrical engineers
Cooperative attitude with respect to interaction with fellow engineers, FAA Unit Members, FAA Organized Delegation Authorization staff, and FAA representatives
The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required Preferred: Experience composing and executing laboratory, aircraft ground, and aircraft flight testing Experience composing and analyzing Equipment Environmental Qualification Requirements Understanding of aviation electrical systems designs and hardware integration Exposure to simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis Electrical Systems DER/UM credentials Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
