Our Systems Engineering & Integration Team (SE&I) is actively searching for a Principal Flight Software Engineer to provide seamless program support while anticipating the needs of the Strategic Weapon System design and development efforts supporting the U.S. Navy in Littleton, CO. As a Principal Flight Software Engineer, you will drive the prioritization of actions, projects, and scheduling, enabling the client to maximize their job performance with efficiency. As the Principal Flight Software Engineer, you will Guide and Review software for the TRIDENT II D5LE2 program Work in multidisciplinary teams involving hardware development, ground software/operations, and systems engineering Collaborate with government and industry partners located in Washington DC, Littleton, CO, Boston, MA, and Cape Canaveral, FL Develop software architecture, review software development plans and processes and iterate based on lessons learned from your software running in autonomous environments. Help with meeting preparations and provide support to several stakeholder meetings in different settings Maintain databases for software requirements and other project components Assist in preparing official presentations as well as in writing/formatting/editing project related correspondence, memorandums, ordnance documents, and professional letters What you bring to the table A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience 15+ years of demonstrated applicable experience in both software development and program management An active Security Clearance at the SECRET Level (of have held an active clearance within the past 2 years) Software development experience in Linux and embedded environments, as well as C and C++ Experience with software running in autonomous systems (missile preferred, but other examples would include UAVs, satellites, etc.) Experience with networked communications and/or distributed systems Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as Adobe Creative Suite Document management & systems engineering experience Able to travel up to 30% Bonus Points for A master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
