Job description

Senior Windows System Administrator Basic Qualifications
• Must have CompTIA Security+ certification or Higher DoD 8572 qualified certificate
• Direct work with Operating Systems life cycle management and configuration management (i.e., Installation/Upgrades, System Imaging, Account Management, Print Services, integration with Domain Services, Hardware Modernization, Performance Monitoring, etc.)
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange Server management
• Experience using and administrating Microsoft Windows Servers
• Experience using VMWare or Hyper-V tools for virtualization
• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity. Many issues are non-standard and require involved research and investigation work. Desired Qualifications
• Knowledge of HP BladeSystem management
• Experience with System Center Products , to include End Point Configuration Manager, Service Manager, Operations Manager, and Orchestrator
• Knowledge of Linux authentication with Active Directory
• Knowledge of restoration/storage services (i.e., NetApp/EMC hardware, software, tape management, disaster recovery practices, Windows storage)
• Knowledge of Scripting and Automation (i.e., System Center Orchestrator, Ansible, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, etc.)
• Knowledge of National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Requirements
• Experience with vulnerability remediation and security management (i.e., system hardening, log management, configuration management (i.e., Nessus, McAfee, WSUS, SCCM, Ivanti, Shavlik, Blade Logic, Splunk, ACAS, SCAP, HBSS, etc.
• IT Related Certifications (i.e., MCSE, VMWare, Network+, etc.) Responsibilities
• Utilize system administration and architecture skills as primary IT support for several classified environments
• Install/configure Windows operating systems and software applications
• Perform periodic audits of system security settings
• Install operating system security patches and firmware updates
• Create/manage security groups
• Coordinate hardware repair activities
• Schedule and monitor data backups
• Diagnose and resolve hardware/software problems/issues
• Create scripts to automate system administration tasks
