Job description

Position is remote eligible with minimum of 2 years Chargemaster experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES PER AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY

Responsible for managing, coordinating, and implementing charge master (CDM) initiatives and processes to ensure revenue management and protection.
Works closely with clinical departments to maintain and educate for optimum charge capture and compliant billing.
Provides guidance to departments regarding strategic pricing services.
Provides ongoing charge entry training and retraining as needed.
Evaluates departmental CDM requests to insure that all additions, changes and deletions are consistent with proper hospital charging.
Analyzes and resolves specific billing edits/errors that require clinical expertise and that are delaying claims for processing and reimbursement.
Audits for missing charges.
Manages Charge master Committee meetings to address challenges related to yearly coding changes, Medicare updates, charge capture opportunities and pricing.
Serves as the principal point of contact for charging issues.
Performs market analysis to determine reimbursement and pricing.
Other duties as assigned.

Applicant has a general understanding of the Revenue Cycle including: Department charging processes, charge master structures, Registration, Patient Accounting/Billing and Reimbursement.
Computer, technical skills required, including: Excel, PowerPoint, CPSI, and Rycan.
Good communication and customer service skills, including the ability to progressively investigate, analyze and identify sources of problems, provide practical solutions, and negotiate resolutions.
Ability to make independent business decisions, considering both the impact to customer satisfaction and overall financial impact for the department and organization.
Solid ability to handle highly confidential, sensitive information. Position requires a high level of professionalism, tact, discretion, and integrity.
Must have the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities; demonstrate resourcefulness and good problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 3 years' experience as an analyst in a healthcare environment with emphasis on chargemaster, revenue capture, charge auditing, reporting and reimbursement.

HRRMC's Patient Financial Services Department has an opening for a full-time (40 hrs/week) Charge Master Coordinator. The Revenue Integrity Analyst is a technical expert relative to the Hospital's Charge Description Master (CDM), with particular emphasis on hospital charge capture as it relates to charge audit, billing compliance, strategic pricing, and revenue protection. Under general supervision, the Revenue Integrity Analyst will develop, maintain and report on the Hospital CDM in order to optimize revenue. This position provides training for departments relative to the charge capture process as well as supports clinical areas in the development of pricing for services and supplies in consideration of cost and market. This position also directs internal/external charge reviews and ongoing refinement of the charge master through the coordination of the Charge master Committee meetings comprised of key personnel.
