Working as a Program Planner/Scheduler is an exciting opportunity to become part of a high-tech team of people developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will be responsible for developing a multi-year plan that the team must follow to produce the customer deliverable. Tasks are performed under the general direction of program managers and functional managers, plus mentoring of senior Program Controls staff. The Finance Strategic Capabilities Unit delivers the expertise and business acumen to increase value across the enterprise by providing actionable information with recommendations and opportunities to drive sustainable business growth. What You'll Do: Review the program technical requirements and work with the Program Controls staff to build a schedule plan that ensures requirements are met.
Support the Program Controls staff on assigned programs with:
Work Center schedule baseline development that encompasses the requirements and meets program and work center needs.
Maintains the schedule baseline per Baseline Change Request (BCR) inputs.
Weekly schedule updates and attend schedule update meetings.
Development of schedule reports and analysis that provides status to support customer deliverables.
Attendance of status meetings.
Recovery schedule development and implementation.
What-if schedule inputs and analysis.
Support new business proposals with development of proposal schedules.
Work with Technicians, Responsible Engineers, and the Manufacturing Engineers on the production floor to ensure scheduled work for Programs is being communicated effectively.
Develop production-based calendars using schedule data that can be utilized for on the floor forecasting, capacity, and priority decision making.
Work with the material planning group to understand SOW BOM requirements that can then be integrated into the Program schedule.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary. On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required. Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment, laboratory, cleanroom, or production floor. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's degree and 2 or more years of related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
Solid knowledge and proven experience in utilizing business principles, concepts, practices, and standards.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work in a team setting, coordinating group initiatives in order to bring a project to completion.
Positive attitude and willingness to take initiative. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience using MS Project and Excel, along with other MS Office Products.
Experience in and understanding of manufacturing planner process. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64130.000 - $109010.000 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
