NDT Specialist I - Non-Exempt Hanwha Aerospace USA has long been recognized as a leader in the development and supply of flight critical Aerospace/Defense components and assemblies. Set up and process various components for FPI and/or MPI. Must be able to perform duties of NDT Level I, working under the direction of the NDT Level II or NDT Level III. Must be able to process parts and maintain all applicable specifications, calibrations and daily requirements. Perform cleaning operations within a class 10K clean room environment. Maintain gage calibration records and interface with employees and outside calibration services as needed and directed by the Quality Manager. The NDT Specialist I is a hands-on position, reporting to the Quality Manager, and will be an integral Quality team member. The technician will help maximize production output, drive continuous manufacturing process improvements, assist with new product introductions, and assure the effective utilization of equipment and materials while maintaining safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery expectations. Location: Based out of Cheshire, CT, Precision Components Reports to: Quality Supervisor Salary Grade: Essential Duties & Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform. Able to read and understand work instructions such as Op Sheets, engine manuals, etc. Document in-process inspections and work with inspection department to ensure all requirements are met. Communicates with co-workers, colleagues and Supervisors to receive instructions and/or guidance and coordinate activities. Organize and maintain daily requirements. Must be able to work independently and efficiently to meet customer requirements. Assist in the interpretation of quality data, conduct research on product defects, and recommend modification in process requirements where such appear to be warranted. Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required Participate in training as required 5-10% Domestic Travel required Must be a "US Person" as defined by US Government and able to work without restriction with ITAR related data. Perform super clean duties as assigned Maintain gauge crib and perform miscellaneous administrative tasks Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs. Must be able to perform physical duties and be able to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to the floor. Must have visual acuity enough to be able to read machine dials, gages, op sheets and precision measuring equipment. Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility Requirements: Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Connecticut driver's license.
