Job Details

Currently seeking a Commissioning Agent to join a Full Service Systems Integration firm based out of Connecticut. This is a remote opportunity requiring 60% travel. The ideal candidate would have experience in one or more the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Chiller, Building Maintenance/ Building Automation Systems/HVAC Control, Facilities Operations Management, Building Commissioning.

Duties:
  • Supporting commissioning and design work by reviewing project specifications and drawings to help create a firm design allowing for commissioning to clearly be integrated
  • Create functional performance test procedures for all types of facility HVAC and electrical systems: building automation, HVAC, heating, hot water, lighting, steam, renewable energy systems, associated controls
  • Manage field inspections, overseeing equipment startups and test and balance
  • Manage field functional performance testing to verify and tune systems for optimum performance
  • Troubleshoot faulty systems, perform the technical analysis necessary to interpret system data, and provide recommendations for corrective action.
  • Assess, document, and write engineering reports of site observations, testing processes and checklists
  • Prepare clear and concise deliverables, including technical reports, Cx reports, system manuals, and assessments, that convey technical information suitable for both lay and technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in engineering, controls, chillers, or HVAC field
  • Commissioning work experience in the design, installation, or start-up of HVAC, electrical, building automation, lighting, or other building systems
  • OSHA 30 accreditation
  • Knowledge and interest in mechanical systems, or relevant trade experience (HVAC, controls, TAB, chillers, Cx, etc.)
