Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, History, Political Science, Journalism, or related fields, or equivalent work or military experience
- 2 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, or related functions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of related experience in a large corporation or agency setting
- Able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and unite team members from diverse backgrounds to achieve shared company goals
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Capable of working independently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Willing and able to travel periodically for work assignments
- Consistently available and responsive to work demands
- A "no job is too big or too small" attitude

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Support the development and delivery of the Communications strategy to drive success for XPO's brand, portfolio of products and services and extraordinary team
- Manage critical announcements from start to finish, including drafting, handling reviews, developing strategy and implementing dissemination
- Develop spokespeople and prepare critical messaging
- Search the organization for content that reinforces the company's story for use across internal and external channels and in outreach to top-tier business, consumer, tech and trade media
- Work with business leaders to identify stories and data to share internally and externally
- Manage outreach to press and other stakeholders as needed
- Help create compelling content for social media and other digital channels
- Help position the company as a thought leader on key topics and ensure the message is delivered in a sophisticated and consistent way
- Build high-quality PR, influencer and other content and materials
- Network across departments and business units to source meaningful stories and develop long-term campaigns, supporting efforts across functions; manage the rollout of related videos, podcasts and supporting media
- Create and publish highly impactful, on-brand content that shares the achievements and culture of our diverse workforce
- Help manage communications calendars, workflows, and processes
- Serve as a "conductor" for the ongoing work of the Communications team
