Job description

JRC is currently seeking a Systems Engineer to support the advanced weapons system research and development program systems engineering integration and testing efforts and provide engineering-based services to the technical division of Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) and Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. You will work closely with NSWC Crane program management leaders and technical subject matter experts. You will support NSWC Crane and Strategic Systems Programs with systems engineering, and Shipyard installation testing-based services in support of its technical programs. You will share expertise in developing strategies and plans to support the long-term growth and development of the advanced weapons system test program. The engineer must have or gain an intimate working knowledge of NSWC Crane's and SSP's culture and practices. As the Systems Engineer, you will Perform shipyard installation testing-based services in support of SSP's advanced weapons system program to include test authoring, requirements management, system level test conduct support, generating test reports and developing and tracking test metrics Conduct Data/Information management Assist with configuration management of test procedures Support resolution of shipyard test issues and system level interface management Review and interact with weapon system models in SYSML Collect and develop program status and metrics updates for senior leader and external program reporting Coordinate with program stakeholders including other customer contractors/partners Provide technical input to and author program documents Develop and review documentation and supporting material for technical accuracy including robust Microsoft Excel files Format specifications, directives, and correspondence in accordance with Navy manual What you bring to the table A bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or commensurate years of experience 1+ years of relative experience An Active SECRET Security Clearance (or above) or have held an active security clearance within the past 2 years Strong technical writing, documentation and Excel skills Excellent communication and presentation development sills Knowledge with schedule development and evaluation Demonstrates a willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently while prioritizing and supporting multiple tasks Ability to assess and meet the customer's needs Ability to support required travel (up to 10%) Bonus points for Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), MagicDraw and/or Cameo
