We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Manager/Senior Manager - Private Client Services to join the team in our Hartford, CT office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm meaning most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to alternate time between both remote and office. YOUR TEAM.

This position will support our PCS Group with a focus on tax and accounting services for privately held companies across a variety of different industries. We work with clients to help them achieve their goals around complex tax and financial matters tied to their business and individual needs. You will work on a team with other Associates, Senior Associates, Managers, Senior Managers, and Partners. This team has a passion for what they do and a focus on consistently delivering value to our clients.

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Work with a team to meet various department and client deadlines throughout the year
  • Leading and managing multiple tax engagements that integrate tax efficiency with long-term tax planning strategies
  • Presenting federal and state income tax returns and strategizing for clients
  • Working with all types of business entities including corporations and partnerships
  • Experience in managing the process of financial statement preparation of compilations and reviews is a plus
  • Experience reviewing and preparing the following types of tax returns: business tax returns including 1120, 1120S, 1065, trust return 1041, and personal return 1040 including Schedules C & E
  • Must be able to perform various financial analysis including but not limited to balance sheets and income statements
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual year-end tax projections
  • Manage various client relationships
  • Providing supervision, training, mentoring and guidance to PCS staff, seniors, and other members of the team
  • Willing to work on various ad hoc projects as needed during the year
  • Actively participate in proposals

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree and CPA required
  • 7-10 years of accounting experience + tax experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to lead, manage and develop staff in a highly interactive team environment
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, CCH Access, and BNA Tax Planner
  • Experience with CCH Engagement and/or CaseWare a plus
  • Experience with Non-Resident returns a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills a plus
